Cultural Workshops on Egypt

As part of the project activities, our volunteer Mostafa delivered cultural workshops for primary and secondary school students, introducing them to the culture of Egypt and the wider Arab world. He talked about everyday life, traditions, customs, cuisine, holidays, and interesting facts about the region he comes from. The workshops provided an excellent opportunity to break stereotypes and explore cultural diversity through direct interaction with someone from a different cultural background.

The sessions were highly interactive, with students asking questions about life in Egypt and the Arabic language. The open and friendly atmosphere helped participants better understand both the similarities and differences between cultures and encouraged them to view them from a new perspective. At the end of each workshop, every participant had the opportunity to complete a special activity by writing their own name using ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs. This hands-on exercise became one of the most memorable parts of the workshops and was enjoyed by all participants. The workshops received very positive feedback from both students and teachers. For Mostafa, they were also a valuable experience, allowing him to further develop his presentation, communication, and intercultural skills while sharing his cultural heritage with young people.
