Katowice World Cup 2026

On 27–28 June 2026, the Katowice Internationals World Cup 2026, an international football tournament, took place, bringing together teams from different countries as well as a large group of organisers and volunteers. Our volunteer Gisselle was actively involved in supporting the event, helping to ensure the smooth running of the tournament and assisting one of the participating teams.

Gisselle’s responsibilities included verifying the identity and attendance of players, ensuring that the team arrived on time for each match, recording match results, and providing ongoing organisational support to both players and coordinators. Thanks to her responsible approach and commitment, she contributed to the efficient organisation of the tournament and the smooth course of the sporting competition.

Participation in the event was also an excellent opportunity for the volunteer to gain new experience in working at a large international sports event. Gisselle cooperated with volunteers from many countries, including participants of volunteering programmes and Erasmus+, developing her organisational, communication, and intercultural skills. This experience also allowed her to gain a better understanding of the coordination process behind international events and the work of the team responsible for organising a prestigious tournament.
